Bravery, don’t flee on me
the nerves are raw in symmetry,
don’t take my strength away.
Strength, don’t drift away from thee
my feet need to walk away out of calamity
don’t make my words stray.
Words, don’t falter, this I plea
the world may want us silently,
but we were never with compliancy,
let fingers flow the quiet decay.
Honestly, I am being the best that I can be.
Missing Story Stones? Or just want my blogs to be more regular? Me, too, but it takes a lot of time and energy to put them together. How about showing me some love and support by donating to keep my blog a bit more regular. It’s hard to keep things moving without feedback and support. Show love to your artists!!

I love this poem because it illustrates how our words are one of the only ways we have to lift ourselves up when we are feeling weak. I personally have a hard time expressing anger or speaking when I’m upset so writing is the only way for me to get difficult emotions out there. I’m glad you are gradually finding your voice again Michael.
Poetry has been speaking a lot to me lately. My husband has been writing a bit of it too. I think he’s ignited the prose in me!
